Snapped the unadulterated image on my three block walk from home to Whole Foods for my pre-work caffeine infusion.I remain a huge fan of the newspaper, while I know full well that it’s a weakening medium. These two vending machines, I’ve noticed, haven’t been getting restocked very regularly of late. They were empty today. I suspect they’re likely turn up missing before long. Several of their kind have vanished recently, after all. This duo begs to be anthropomorphized; I see in them a pair of sad sentinels, watching vigilantly for some sign — perhaps one of hope, but more likely one of demise.
